Managed Industry Publishing
Your industry needs a newsroom. You don't have to build one.
For trade associations, professional societies, and advocacy organizations.
Desk builds and runs an independent news publication covering your industry or cause. A news website, weekday newsletter, and social channels, with useful coverage and a place for your organization's perspective.

Credibility. Reach. A voice on the record.
Useful news gives your perspective context
Give people a reason to read beyond your organization's announcements. Coverage from official sources and public records puts your perspective alongside relevant news.
Connect beyond your membership
Reach members, policymakers, media, and allied industries through a publication built around their interests. Desk promotes it beyond your membership, with monthly reporting on subscribers and newsletter engagement.
Your voice on the record
You decide your organization's positions and contribute press releases, op-eds, story ideas, and source suggestions. We agree on the coverage scope together. Contributions appear under your organization's name; Desk decides what runs based on relevance and editorial standards.
No new hires
Desk owns and operates the publication, including its masthead, domain, and platform. We handle daily publishing across the website, weekday newsletter, and social channels. Your team contributes knowledge and perspective while staying focused on the mission.

Questions about Desk
Frequently asked questions
Who owns the publication?
Desk owns and operates the publication, including its masthead, domain, and platform. Your organization contributes perspective and helps shape the coverage scope. You receive monthly subscriber and engagement reporting.
What do we control, and what does Desk control?
You decide what your organization submits and the positions it expresses. We agree on the audience and coverage scope together. Desk retains decisions about stories, headlines, and publication standards.
Will you publish our op-eds and press releases?
You can submit both, along with story suggestions. Each submission is considered for relevance and editorial standards, so publication is not automatic. Those standards help protect the credibility of accepted contributions.
How do you choose sources?
We build the source list around the agreed coverage scope, using official sources and public records such as agency announcements, regulatory filings, legislative calendars, and public data. Your organization can recommend sources and priorities. Desk evaluates sources for relevance and reliability and remains responsible for coverage standards.
What does it cost?
There is a setup fee followed by a 12-month agreement. The proposal is scoped to the coverage and managed publishing services your organization needs. We discuss the scope and costs before you commit.
What happens if we leave?
If your organization chooses not to renew, Desk retains the publication, masthead, domain, platform, and its subscribers. At launch, members you supply are invited to confirm their subscription; those who confirm remain subscribers by their own choice. Any unconfirmed member records are returned or deleted at your direction, as defined in your agreement.
Will readers know we support the publication?
Your op-eds and contributions always appear under your organization's name. Whether your support is also listed publicly, such as on an About page, is your choice and is defined in your agreement.
